Semivicoli is a small village, belonging to the city of Casacanditella in the Province of Chieti, 365 metres above the sea level. Here the beauty of the Majella Mount only 20 kilometres away with its snows lasting until April, and the sparkling blue of the Adriatic Sea, only 20 minutes away, are both clearly seen.
Semivicoli is close to San Martino sulla Marrucina. This special place is the home of the Masciarelli company. It is a part of Italy where the rhythms of the seasons and a sense of simplicity are still fundamental. The soil in this place is mostly chalky and rich with mineral, while the wide temperature range from night to day make this a recognized suitable place for the cultivation of hardy plants, such as the vine and the olive tree. All this is part of Abruzzo, which is a big region: in a distance of little more than thirty kilometres, you can admire the majesty of the Gran Sasso and the Maiella and the gently rolling hills that drop down to the coast, with nearly 35% protected area, and very rich in animals and plants. Colours, scents and flavours of former days, remain strong and unchanged in our traditional products such as pasta, wine, oil, cheeses, meat, saffron, truffles and sweetmeats.
